How We Research and Review

Affiliate All In One publishes research-based guides and explainers. This page explains exactly how they are made, so you can judge how much weight to give them.

What “research-based” means here

Unless an article says otherwise, we have not personally tested the product. A research-based article is built from public information that can be checked, and we say so on the article. We do not claim hands-on testing, personal ownership or lab measurements that did not happen.

Where the information comes from

  • Official specifications and documentation from the manufacturer or service provider: product pages, manuals, support articles, warranty and refund terms.
  • Retailer listings, for the current price, availability and what is included in the box. Prices change often, so an article shows the date the price was last checked. If a price is missing or looks out of date, treat it as unconfirmed and check the seller’s page.
  • Owner feedback published on retailer and forum pages. We read it for repeated patterns (for example, the same fault mentioned by many owners), and we do not quote a single review as if it were typical.
  • Independent sources such as established review sites and standards bodies, linked in the article where we rely on them.

How we decide what goes in an article

  1. We pick a topic because readers are likely to be looking for it, not because a program pays more for it.
  2. We collect the specifications and check them against the official source.
  3. We look for known limitations, compatibility problems and common complaints, and put them next to the strengths.
  4. We state who an option suits and who should look elsewhere.
  5. We add the “last updated” date and review it again when something material changes.

Drafting uses AI assistance. Every article is fact-checked against the sources listed in it and approved by the editor before publishing.

How affiliate links relate to our recommendations

Many links on this site are affiliate links: if you buy through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commission rates do not decide what we recommend or how a product is ranked. A product that is a poor fit for the reader is described as one, even where a commission is available. Read the full Affiliate Disclosure.

Limits of this approach

Research cannot tell you how a product feels after months of daily use, and manufacturers’ claims are not always accurate. Specifications, prices and stock change after an article is published. If you see something out of date or wrong, please tell us: see our Corrections Policy.
